The youngest of the Whistler family, Sam is enjoying life while developing his own particular passion and interests in the wine industry. He dabbled in a wine marketing degree but found that a more practical approach to learning suited his personality and has since slipped into experiencing wine marketing out in the real world. 
 
Having travelled and worked vintages in the Barossa, US and NZ, as well as working in bottle shop jobs in Adelaide, Sam brings his own colourful stories to our cellar door. Always a friendly face, Sam adds a youthful, vibrant dimension to Whistler Wines
 
Excited to admit it, Sam still reckons the Barossa is the best place for Shiraz. Having been awarded 93 points from James Halliday in his 2008 Australian Wine Companion for our 2004 Shiraz, Sam often leaves his shift with a box under one arm and a glass in hand. Thankfully there is always a bed at mum and dad’s on the property, should he make it through the first bottle before getting out the gate.
