Where would we be without Martin? With all the knowledge gained from his father and grandfather as well as his 28 years of experience working as chief vineyard manager for Penfolds, including responsibility for the “Penfold’s Grange” vineyards, Martin is well equipped to care for our vines at Whistler Wines.

 

Martin has lived and worked in the Barossa for over 37 years and has a passion for getting involved in anything that helps promote Barossa as a region and it’s wine appellation.

 

Always happy to have a chat about what’s going on, you will usually find Martin sipping on a glass of Hubert Irving, rated four stars in the Melbourne Age, April 2007. This easy drinking red is named in honour of his father and the lessons he was taught about the importance of patience and balance when caring for our vines. Here’s to you Dad and all your advice!
