AUSTRALIA DAY
 
Winners of the Barossa Thong Throwing with the official Whistler Wines Trophy created by John Ridley.
26th January from 11.00am – 5.00pm
 
What could be more Australian than a BBQ and a thong throwing competition to celebrate our country??? And by thong we mean the Australian thong worn on the feet, not the American one worn elsewhere!
 
Damien Couzner, Jeanine Wallis, Charlie Ince and Patchouli Rae-Worth were the winner of our Barossa Thong Throwing competition this year and they did us proud!
 
Raising money for our new Kangaroo enclosure was also an important part of our Australia Day celebrations.  With everyone's help we managed to raise $1500. 
 
With a Gourmet BBQ Sandwhich in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, this was the perfect way to enjoy Australia Day.
 
Children both young and old were entertained with organised games, face painting and crafts.
